The Colonel's only daughter, Susan has the ability to alter her density, from totally insubstantial to harder than diamond. Other than occasionally helping her in her midwife duties, she can't see any real practical use for her powers, and rarely uses them. She sees pain, blood, life and death every day, so not much pushes her over the edge.
